French Marble Mortar, Late 1800s
circa: 19th century
A19th century French white marble mortar. Lovely light gray veining throughout the piece. The shape is round with a thick base and high walls. Four rounded handles are spaced evenly around the edges. Light wear along the inside shows the generations of use. It's a beautiful display piece that would also make a great utensil holder.
Condition: Very good. Age appropriate wear including some light scratches and little edge chips.
