circa: Early 1900s
An attractive French forged iron book press from the early 1900s. Simple construction in an industrial aesthetic, with square base, curved shoulders and baton shaped screw handles. Wonderfully patinated surface with reddish brown tones over black iron. The base has holes for mounting. It's a beautiful, functioning piece. The maximum size that can be pressed is 8.75" by 11", approximately 2.25" thick.
Condition: Great antique condition. Light marks and texture variation due to age and use.
