An excellent mid century coffee table in the style of Louis XVI. Beveled edge Carrara marble top with delicate, light gray veining. A giltwood base showcases fluted legs, a beaded apron and lovely rosettes at the joints. The gilding has aged wonderfully, with areas of red ocher showing through. It is sure to brighten any space. The .75" marble top lifts off, it is not attached to the base.
Condition: Light surface scratches along marble top, as well as some water stains. Three chips at the center of the top, two near a corner and a few tiny nicks spread around. No substantial nicks or chips along edges. Slight wood separation at some joints. All typical for age and use.
