A highly decorated Venetian glass mirror in the Louis Philippe style, circa 1890. Large central mirror with mirrored glass frame in the classic Louis Philippe shape, with rounded top corners and squared bottom. The inner edge of the glass frame is embellished with end to end tiny cut scallops, while the outer edge is graced by larger cut marquise and dot detail. Elegantly etched bouquet swags are placed on each edge piece of the frame, complete with very fine outwardly radiating curlicues. All four corners and the centers of either side have three dimensional mirrored adornments reminiscent of shield shapes, each with two glass floret screws to secure the mirror pieces. The back consists of old wood planks, painted black along with the mirror's edge.
Condition: Central mirror is in great condition with no spots, it is old but not period. The frame has some faded silvering, especially at the edges
