Italian Brass and Painted Metal Chandelier by Rolly, 1960s
~ inquire for price ~
A swanky Italian brass and red metal five light chandelier by the firm Rolly, circa 1960. Bright brass and glossy painted aluminum play well off of each other, creating a futuristic but warm vibe. Five curved brass posts slope down and outwards from the center shaft, each holding up a simulated brass candle with a band of deep red aluminum. The shaft at the center has a matching red band. Three hidden arms stretch out near the top of the shaft, creating a support structure for the metal drum shade to hang from. This shade consists of two wide, red metal bands separated at the center with two slim bands of brass in the middle. Between the bands is open space where additional light shines through from the five candelabra bulbs. One tubular shaft connects the light and cone shaped canopy. Elements of Art Deco, Pop Art and Space Age design come together in this ultra stylish piece.
Condition: Rewired to US standards. The brass hanging shaft is a replacement.
