Definitively French but with some English influence, this Charles X Period Commode is made of rosewood with a white marble top. The chest features four visible drawers with brass escutcheons and swan neck handles. The fifth and "secret" drawer is between the feet. The English influence is shown with the dentil molding, the barley twist on the sides and the small bun feet. A very elegant, classy piece.
Condition: Very good antique condition. Age crack on side, wood discoloration and few scratches. Minor dents at corners of marble and some wear on edge. No keys available.
